Niger State Governor, Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, has described the emergence of Hafiz Abdullahi Salisu Abba from Suleja Local Government Area as sensational, following his second-place finish in the recently concluded 44th edition of the King Abdul Aziz International Quranic Recitation Competition held in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Governor Bago, through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, stated that the achievement by Hafiz Abdullahi is a significant milestone, not only for the Muslim community in Niger State but for Nigeria as a whole.

He emphasized that the success of the young Hafiz Abdullahi Abba serves as an inspiration for other Muslims to aspire to memorize the Holy Quran, which is the guiding principle of every Muslim.

The Director-General of the Niger State Bureau for Religious Affairs, Malam Umar Farooq Abdullahi, officially announced the remarkable achievement of Hafiz Abdullahi Salisu Abba in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including the Governor of Mecca, Senior Imams of the Grand Mosque, and Nigeria’s Ambassadors to Saudi Arabia. He expressed appreciation to Governor Bago for his support in facilitating the successful participation and outcome of the event.

Malam Umar Farooq also encouraged the Muslim community and the people of Niger State to continue offering prayers to foster unity and hope for humanity.

A total of 174 participants from 123 countries across the globe took part in the 44th edition of the King Abdul Aziz International Quranic Memorisation Competition held in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
