The Nigeria Foundation for the Support of Victims of Terrorism (VSF), chaired by Lt. General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, is renowned for its dedication to supporting and providing relief to victims of terrorism in Nigeria. One of its key initiatives is offering scholarships to students affected by terrorism or from vulnerable communities.

Recently, the VSF extended its scholarship program to students of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and to students of Niger State College of Education, Minna (NCE). The program aims to support approximately 90 students across these institutions.

The award letters for these scholarships were distributed by the Provost of Niger State College of Education, Professor Mohammed Yakubu Auna, and the Dean of Students Affairs at the College, Dr. Adamu Mohammed Jebba. The scholarships are designed to cover various academic expenses, including tuition, books, and potentially other related costs. This support is intended to alleviate the financial burden on students and help them concentrate on their studies.

This initiative is part of VSF's broader efforts to enhance education in Nigeria, particularly in regions affected by insurgency and terrorism. By providing these scholarships, the VSF not only aids the students’ educational pursuits but also contributes to the rebuilding and stabilization of communities impacted by terrorism.
