The Adolescent Girls Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project will enroll 24,000 out-of-school children in Zamfara State. This initiative, announced by the AGILE Project Coordinator, Hajiya Sa'adatu Abdu Gusau, is a World Bank intervention in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education and the Zamfara State Government.

The AGILE project aims to increase school enrollment for adolescent girls by involving traditional, religious, and community leaders to raise awareness. It includes conditional cash transfers to less privileged families to ease transportation for children attending school.

The project plans to construct 42 new schools and rehabilitate 441 existing ones across Zamfara State. Funds for these efforts have been allocated to the School Based Management Committees (SBMCs), which will oversee the implementation and use of the funds.

Hajiya Sa'adatu commended Governor Dauda Lawal for approving the counterpart funding and providing an office for the AGILE project, highlighting the project's significant impact on education in the state.
