Murtala Guding's football team has emerged victorious in a competition organized by his supporters for representatives of the Demsa/Numan/Lamurde local governments in the National Assembly. The event brought together football teams from Adamawa’s southern zone.
The match concluded with a penalty shootout between Murtala Guding's team and Nisiri United. Guding's team secured the win by scoring seven goals, while Nisiri United finished with six.
The tournament's sponsor praised the participants for their sportsmanship and assured the youth that the Member of the House of Representatives would continue to do his best to provide more opportunities for them to showcase their talents in the southern zone.
Speaking at the event, the Member representing Demsa/Numan/Lamurde Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Kwamoti B. La'ori, expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the tournament's success, particularly for achieving his goal of fostering unity in the region.
The special guests at the match included the Member of the House of Representatives for the Jada/Ganye/Tongo/Mayo-Belwa Federal Constituency, Hon. Mohammad Inuwa Bassi, and Mr. Daniel Dishon.
Other dignitaries present were Adamawa State PDP Chairman Barr. Tahir Shehu, the Member representing Numan Local Government Area in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo, the Executive Chairman of Demsa Local Government, and others.
Reports indicate that more than 20 football teams participated in the three-week tournament.
