Amb. Dr. Nura Hashim, known as Tallafin Bosso Karami, has been appointed Santurakin Cikasoron of Minna by Alhaji Sulaiman Yahaya Babangida. This appointment recognizes his dedication to youth empowerment, particularly through promoting careers, politics, and agriculture as avenues for self-reliance.
Amb. Nura Hashim holds several key positions within the farming community, including Vice President of the Niger State chapter of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Secretary of the Cotton Farmers Association, Chairman of the Wheat Farmers Association, and Vice Chairman of the Tomato Farmers Association in Niger State.
The appointment was announced following a visit by Alhaji Muhammad Saeed Ghana, President of the Hausa and Hausawan Duniya Charitable Foundation. Amb. Nura Hashim serves as the Niger State coordinator of the organization.
During the visit, the Secretary General of the international organization, Alhaji Muhammadu Saeed Ghana, along with the Nigerian President of the foundation, paid courtesy calls to former military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, and other prominent elders in Niger State. The goal was to foster unity among the Hausa people both within the state and globally, and to promote the development and preservation of the Hausa language.
In a statement, Alhaji Muhammadu Saeed Ghana emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and progress among all tribes. He met with traditional rulers and stakeholders in the region, stressing the critical need for community harmony and cooperation.
During the visit, Alhaji Saeed Ghana announced the appointment of Alhaji Suleiman Yahaya Babangida (Cikasoron Minna) as the Vice National Chairman of the organization in Nigeria, in recognition of his leadership and dedication to community service.
Cikasoron Minna, in turn, confirmed the appointment of Amb. Dr. Nura Hashim (Tallafin Bosso Karami) as the new Chairman of the Hausa and Hausawan Duniya Charitable Foundation for Niger State.
The Hausa and Hausawan Duniya Charitable Foundation, headquartered in Kaduna State, aims to foster self-reliance, peaceful coexistence, and economic development within the global Hausa community. The foundation focuses on education, health, and improving the general well-being of the Hausa people.
Speaking after his appointment, Amb. Dr. Nura Hashim pledged to continue working tirelessly to fulfill his new responsibilities. He highlighted the Hausa community's long-standing values of peace and self-reliance.
"I will reach every corner of the community to promote the importance of peace, self-reliance, and embracing agriculture, particularly among the youth, who are the leaders of tomorrow," he said.
The Peace Ambassador also called on the government to address the ongoing security challenges facing the nation, which have adversely affected the economy. He urged citizens to put aside differences in language and religion and unite to build a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.
Dr. Nura Hashim also appealed to politicians and stakeholders to contribute to national peace, development, and economic growth.
A recipient of numerous international peace awards, Amb. Dr. Nura Hashim is also recognized by local leaders, holding titles such as Talban Tatiko, Jarumin Tutungo, Tallafin Bosso Karami, and now Santurakin Cikasoron Minna.
