Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has expressed his delight while receiving students from Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Tudun Wada, who secured second place in the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Junior Engineers, Technicians, and Scientists (JETs) competition.

During a reception in Birnin Kebbi, the governor congratulated the students and their teachers on their remarkable achievement. He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing the education sector. Dr. Idris, who previously served as a teacher and rose to become the National President of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), praised the school’s principal and staff for bringing honor to the state.

“You have written the name of Kebbi State in gold,” the governor remarked, acknowledging the efforts that led to this success. He added, “History will never forget the sacrifices you have made to achieve this feat of glory. I urge you to sustain this momentum for the benefit of all.”

Dr. Idris further assured that, as someone with a teaching background, he would prioritize providing quality education for children in Kebbi State.

In his remarks, Barr. Muhammad Maccido, Chief of Staff to the Governor and leader of the delegation, expressed gratitude to the governor for his unwavering support.

“Without your encouragement, this achievement would not have been possible,” Maccido said. “This success is a testament to your strong commitment to strengthening the education system in Kebbi State.”

The delegation’s achievement highlights the state government’s dedication to fostering academic excellence and innovation among its youth.
