The Member of the House of Representatives representing the Birnin-Magaji/Kaura Namoda Constituency in Zamfara State, Alhaji Aminu Sani Jaji (Ph.D.), has officially welcomed 1,500 defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State.
The new APC members include leaders and supporters from PDP, APGA, and other political parties in the state.
Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, who is also the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Ecological Fund, received the defectors through the Hon. Jaji APC Political Movement in Zamfara.
Prominent defectors include former APGA State Chairman, Alhaji Rabiu Salisu Bature Bungudu, and hundreds of APGA members; the State YPP Chairman, Alhaji Sani Anka Yellow, along with hundreds of YPP supporters; and PDP leaders from Shinkafi Local Government Area, including former Director General Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Shinkafi, PDP Elder Malam Ibrahim Tado Shinkafi, PDP Women Leader Hajiya Abu Alasan, and PDP Youth Leader Lukman Hamidu Shinkafi. Additionally, thousands of PDP supporters from the area joined the APC.
Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, accompanied by the State Chairman of the APC Jajiyya Movement, Alhaji Isiyaka Ajiya Anka, expressed his confidence that the defection of such influential political figures would strengthen the Jajiyya movement in the state.
He praised the defection as a significant development for the APC and assured the new members of fair treatment and a collaborative environment to enhance the party's presence in Zamfara.
Hon. Jaji emphasized that the leadership of the APC in the state, under his direction, is committed to transparency, accountability, good governance, and delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
On behalf of Rt. Hon. Aminu Jaji, Alhaji Isiyaka Ajiya Anka extended a warm welcome to the new members, reiterating the APC's strength and promising continued good representation for the Kaura Namoda/Birnin-Magaji Federal Constituency.
