The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has officially announced the sighting of the crescent moon, marking the beginning of Ramadan in Nigeria.
In a broadcast from his palace in Sokoto, the Sultan confirmed the credible reports of moon sightings across the nation inline with Islamic tradition.
He further confirmed that the fast will commence tomorrow.
He has however urged all Muslim faithfuls across the nation, to observe the month of Ramadan with full worship to almighty Allah and also in giving to the vulnerable.
