The Education Committee of the iDanraka Care Foundation on Sunday, 23rd February 2025, held the closing ceremony of the first edition of the iDanraka Care Foundation Inter-Public Primary, Junior, and Senior Schools Spelling Bee and Quiz Competition in Zaria, Kaduna State.
In his message, the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, represented by Garkuwan Ayyukan Zazzau, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, commended the iDanraka Care Foundation for its commitment to promoting education in public schools. He emphasized the critical role of education in societal development and encouraged students to pursue academic excellence.
The Emir also praised the foundation for organizing the quiz and spelling bee competition, noting that such initiatives foster a culture of learning and healthy competition among students.
In his remarks, Captain Dr. Dayyabu Mustapha Danraka, a renowned educationist and philanthropist, applauded the participating students, teachers, and schools for their dedication and performance. He reiterated the importance of education in community development and highlighted how the foundation’s initiatives would contribute to improving the quality of education in Zaria and its surrounding areas.
The event featured the presentation of awards to outstanding students and schools in various categories, including prizes for academic excellence and extracurricular achievements.
Parents, teachers, and other key stakeholders in the education sector attended the closing ceremony.
"I am impressed by the performance of the students and the organizers of this event. This is a great initiative that will promote education and healthy competition among students. I commend the iDanraka Care Foundation for their efforts," said Professor Isiyaku Saminu of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Jarman Zazzau, Alhaji Mukhtar Shehu, added: "This event is a testament to the importance of education in our society. I am proud to see these young minds competing and showcasing their knowledge. The iDanraka Care Foundation has done a commendable job in organizing this event."
Speaking on behalf of the organizing committee, Maihadishi A'isha Abubakar expressed gratitude to Dr. Danraka for his support and encouragement. The foundation also extended its appreciation to the participants, sponsors, and organizers whose contributions ensured the event's success.
The iDanraka Care Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education and empowering young people in Zaria and its environs.
