…Says APC Must Be Voted Out in 2027
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has charged the newly elected officials of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the North-East to develop strategic plans to ensure the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the inauguration of the North-East Zonal Officials of the PDP at the party’s zonal office in Bauchi, the governor declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed Nigerians and must be voted out of power come 2027.
Governor Bala, who was represented by his Deputy, Mohammed Auwal Jatau, said the APC-led federal government has overseen an unprecedented decline in the nation’s living standards.
“The APC, throughout its years in power, has failed to deliver on its promises. Instead of creating jobs, it has created more hardship for Nigerians. Rather than lifting citizens out of poverty, the APC government has plunged families deeper into hunger and economic misery,” he said.
The governor stressed that the inauguration of the PDP’s North-East Zonal Officials marks the beginning of a renewed collective effort to restore the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of Nigerians.
“Today, we celebrate our unity and our unwavering commitment to returning Nigeria to the path of progress and prosperity. I urge you all to recognize the huge responsibility placed on your shoulders. You are the vanguard of change in this region, the voice of the people, and the guardians of their hopes,” Governor Bala stated.
He emphasized that the 2027 election is not just about political power but about securing the future of Nigeria’s children, ensuring the safety of its people, and guaranteeing the well-being of every citizen.
“The APC has not only failed to provide the basic necessities of life, but it has also failed to offer leadership that inspires hope and confidence. As PDP members, we must lead with integrity, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the people. Our mission is clear — we will not allow the dreams of Nigerians to be buried under the weight of incompetence and mismanagement,” he declared.
While congratulating the newly inaugurated officials, Governor Bala urged them to be agents of positive change and assured them of his administration’s full support in ensuring their success.
In his response, the newly sworn-in North-East Zonal Chairman of the PDP, Babangida Umar, acknowledged the enormous task ahead, promising to work diligently and collaboratively with all stakeholders to achieve the party’s objectives in the region.
