The Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero, has announced the indefinite extension of the final registration deadline for the 2024/2025 academic session, initially set for May 29, 2025.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammad Abubakar-Maikasuwa, made the announcement during a press briefing at the university.
He stated that the university management had also decided to waive all late registration charges and promised to refund students who had already paid such fees.
Abubakar-Maikasuwa urged students to proceed with their registration, assuring them that a new deadline would be communicated in due course.
Speaking on the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) refunds, the vice-chancellor affirmed that the funds released to the university remained intact. He added that the management had approved the disbursement of the first batch of screened beneficiaries and assured that further refunds would continue in phases.
He also commended the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for his continued support and assistance to the university.
