As part of efforts to support Muslim communities during Ramadan, the member representing Demsa/Numan/Lamurde Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Kwamoti B. La’ori, has distributed food and non-food items to Muslim communities across the three local government areas of Adamawa State.

The distribution exercise, which took place on Saturday, included essential items such as rice, pasta, honey, spaghetti, cooking oil, sugar, and other household necessities.

Speaking at the event, Rt. Hon. La’ori—who was represented by the Adamawa State Commissioner for Infrastructure and Rural Development, Mr. Titus Solomon—urged the distribution committee to ensure fairness, transparency, and justice in sharing the items.

He emphasized that the gesture was not the first of its kind and encouraged beneficiaries to make good use of the support provided.

He said: “On behalf of Hon. Kwamoti B. La’ori, member representing Demsa/Numan/Lamurde Federal Constituency, I urge you to offer prayers for him as you receive these food and non-food items. This support is meant to ease the burden of fasting, and we hope it reaches all those who need it the most.”

In their remarks, the Chairmen of the Muslim Councils in Lamurde, Numan, and Demsa local government areas—Ahmad Abubakar, Dr. Auwal Liman, and Hassan Abubakar, respectively—expressed their gratitude for the timely gesture.

They described the donation as a clear demonstration of Hon. La’ori’s consistent care and concern for his constituents, especially during Ramadan.

“This is not the first time Hon. La’ori has supported us during Ramadan. We are deeply grateful for his kindness and commitment to our welfare. We pray for his continued success and for Allah to bless him abundantly,” they said.

The council leaders also highlighted that essential items like sugar, rice, and cooking oil are particularly needed during fasting, and the donation has come at the perfect time to ease the hardship many families face.
