Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian capital in the early hours of Friday, June 13, according to Tasnim News Agency.
The report stated that the attack, carried out by the Zionist regime, struck multiple residential buildings in Tehran, resulting in the death of civilians and extensive property damage. Among those killed was Major General Salami, a key figure in Iran’s military leadership.
As a result of the strike, flights at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport have been suspended until further notice.
