Zamfara State APC Chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, has formally presented former Kaura Namoda Local Government PDP Chairman, Hon. Sadiq Abubakar Ciroma, to the Minister of State for Defence, His Excellency Hon. Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, to welcome him into the state APC family.

In a statement signed by Yusuf Idris Gusau, APC Publicity Secretary, Zamfara State, Tukur Danfulani said:

"Your Excellency, we are here to present the former Kaura Namoda PDP Chairman, Hon. Sadiq Abubakar Ciroma, who resigned from his PDP position and joined APC while you were out of the country representing Nigeria on matters of national development. As one of the party leaders in Zamfara State, we found it necessary to present him to you and formally welcome him, along with his supporters, into the APC family in Zamfara and Nigeria at large."

Welcoming Ciroma, Matawalle stated that APC needs people like him—leaders who approach politics with vision and positive thinking, capable of assessing political situations and making decisions that benefit the people of Zamfara. He criticized the current government for marginalizing citizens and depriving them of access to state resources, describing their plight as a form of indirect slavery.

Matawalle assured Ciroma that APC would provide equal opportunities and an enabling environment for all members. He emphasized that the party prioritizes welfare, justice, unity, and progress for all across the board.

Speaking earlier, Hon. Sadiq Abubakar Ciroma explained that his decision to resign as PDP Chairman in Kaura Namoda was motivated by his confidence in APC leadership in Zamfara and the attention they give to party members, especially during difficult times.

He criticized PDP members in the state for being neglected by Governor Dauda Lawal, stating, "Some council members cannot even maintain their homes, let alone provide support to constituents. The government prioritizes revenue collection at all costs."

Ciroma affirmed his commitment to APC, vowing to support the party in defeating PDP in Zamfara. He expressed optimism that, by the grace of God, APC would form the next government in the state in 2027.
