The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), operating under the Jajiyya Political Movement, has reaffirmed its commitment to active participation in all party activities to ensure the success of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The movement, led by its political leader and member representing Kaura Namoda–Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, PhD, made this declaration during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Kaduna.
The meeting, attended by key stakeholders of the APC Jajiyya Movement and a cross-section of party supporters, resolved to fully participate in all activities scheduled by the APC National Headquarters, including forthcoming party congresses and the ongoing membership e-registration exercise. The movement pledged to adhere strictly to due process in all engagements.
At the meeting, the Jajiyya Movement also reaffirmed its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections. The group further announced its endorsement of Rt. Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji as its preferred candidate for the governorship of Zamfara State in 2027.
Addressing supporters, Rt. Hon. Jaji said the gathering was convened to reaffirm the movement’s loyalty to the APC and to align with the party’s roadmap ahead of the 2027 polls. He commended APC supporters in Zamfara State for their steadfast loyalty to the party and their support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging them to sustain the momentum.
Chairman of the Jajiyya Coordinating Committee, Hon. Nasiru Zarumi Masama, expressed the movement’s readiness to support the gubernatorial aspiration of Rt. Hon. Jaji, describing him as the most suitable candidate to lead Zamfara State.
According to Masama, Jaji’s track record of dedication, philanthropy, and effective representation positions him as the right leader to address the challenges facing the state.
Participants at the event expressed enthusiasm over Jaji’s gubernatorial ambition and pledged to work collectively to ensure his success in the 2027 elections.
In his response, Rt. Hon. Jaji expressed gratitude to members of the movement for their support and endorsement, assuring them of his continued commitment to the ideals of the APC and the development of Zamfara State.
The Jajiyya Movement has remained a strong pillar of support for the APC in Zamfara State, playing a notable role in strengthening the party’s grassroots structure. Political observers believe the movement’s active participation in party congresses and the e-registration exercise will further boost the APC’s preparedness for the 2027 general elections.
Despite recent challenges faced by the APC in Zamfara State, including internal disagreements and defections, the renewed unity and support from the Jajiyya Movement are seen as a significant step toward repositioning the party ahead of the polls.
The movement’s endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is also viewed as a major boost to the President’s re-election efforts, particularly given Rt. Hon. Jaji’s influence and standing within the state.
