During this exclusive media chat, Abdullahi Idris spoke with the Executive Chairman of Alkaleri Local Government Area, Hon. Garba Hassan Bajama. The interview covered a wide range of issues, including politics, development, and other strategic matters aimed at promoting good governance, restoring hope, ensuring sustainable human development, and advancing the interests of the people.

DAILY STRUGGLE: Sir, what have you achieved so far in Alkaleri Local Government?

Hon. Bajama: We have achieved more than one hundred percent in terms of agricultural development, education, road construction, renovation, empowerment, electricity supply, among many other notable projects for the benefit of the good people of Alkaleri Local Government Area.

In fact, we empowered 200 people, and allowances were created for them to support job sustainability. We dug more than 50 boreholes across the districts of Alkaleri Local Government. We built and upgraded a cottage hospital. We also procured six tractors for the local government to boost agricultural production, with the intention of reforming overall agricultural development. These achievements were made possible through various reforms, selfless commitment, as well as the great intervention of His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Executive Governor of Bauchi State.

We are indeed very grateful to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for his remarkable support, especially in the area of securing lives and property in Alkaleri Local Government Area. The Governor has been up and doing in ensuring that the good people of the state sleep with their two eyes closed. This is indeed responsible leadership from Kauran Daular Usmaniyya.

DAILY STRUGGLE: How confident are you of winning the upcoming Bauchi State local government elections under the APM, considering it is a relatively young political party?

Hon. Bajama: I am one hundred percent sure of winning my chairmanship ticket because our projects speak for us. Considering the fact that Governor Bala Mohammed's initiatives are already in the pipeline to boost sustainable human growth, development, and strategic economic transformation across the 20 local government areas, that is more than enough to support the APM in all ramifications.

Governor Bala Mohammed, the national leader of the APM, our great party, has been promoting good governance and building effective and remarkable bridges across the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is indeed a true federalist throughout his career in public service, a consummate professional, and an experienced senior citizen.

We are hopeful and committed that, by the special grace of God, the APM, as a political party, will sweep all the states of the federation in the 2027 general elections. I call on the good people of Alkaleri Local Government to vote for me for a second term as Executive Chairman.

DAILY STRUGGLE: How cordial is your relationship with other party members and stakeholders in Alkaleri Local Government?

Hon. Bajama: We live like brothers and sisters politically. We are all committed to promoting good governance, and I strongly believe our relationship with all the good people across Alkaleri Local Government Area remains cordial, effective, and respectful in every way. There are no differences, no tribalism, and no segregation in any respect. We are living as one family in the interest of promoting unity, peace, and development.

DAILY STRUGGLE: What do you want to be remembered for?

Hon. Bajama: I want to be remembered as someone who lived a fulfilled life by promoting peace and remarkable leadership, and as a role model of transparency and a God-fearing leader who remained deeply committed to community service and creating a platform for democracy to thrive.

DAILY STRUGGLE: As a leader, what piece of advice would you offer to the younger generation?

Hon. Bajama: Well, they should remain focused on their future. They should also remain committed to upholding good moral values and become good ambassadors of integrity wherever they find themselves. Finally, I call on them to be productive, as productivity is one of the building blocks and hallmarks of self-empowerment and sustainability.

Thank you for having me.
