The Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has appointed Hon. Bello Muazu, popularly known as Walin Kware, as Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation for the North-West.
The appointment, which takes effect from October 1, 2026, covers the seven North-West states of Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna and Jigawa.
In his new role, Muazu is expected to design and implement a North-West Youth Mobilisation Masterplan, coordinate youth-focused engagements and strengthen coordination among relevant youth and campaign structures across the region.
His responsibilities also include supporting youth engagement programmes, facilitating coordination with existing structures, promoting lawful civic participation and voter-registration awareness in collaboration with relevant authorities, and providing regular strategic reports on youth mobilisation activities across the North-West.
The appointment places emphasis on coordination, consultation, grassroots engagement, documentation, reporting and measurable implementation, with the stated aim of strengthening youth participation and organisational capacity across the region.
Muazu, who is widely known as Walin Kware, expressed appreciation to Atiku Abubakar for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to discharge the responsibility with humility, discipline, loyalty, integrity and dedication.
The appointment brings his grassroots mobilisation experience into the broader youth mobilisation structure as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.
