Bauchi-based three political pressure groups, Coalition for Action In Re-Building APC (CARB-APC Bauchi), the APC Discussions Round Table and APC Youth Parliaments have called on NNPP governorship candidate in the state, Senator Halliru Dauda Jika to retrace his steps back to his All Progressives Congress (APC).

The groups coalition appealed to the NNPP gubernatorial candidate to kindly consider the vistaz of bye gone and make a safe back to his party, the APC for a new beginning in the struggle to lift the loads of the common man.

It could be recalled that Senator Halliru Dauda Jika was an active and strong member of the APC prior to the conduct of party primaries who lost the bid to clinch the party's governorship ticket, thereafter decided to pitch tent with the NNPP.

The coalition at a press conference in Bauchi yesterday led by Umar Faruq Bala said that the three sister groups as the APC strong action coalition is seeking to unify the party and re-strategize against 2027 which idea was informed by the abysmal performance of the NNPP in the just concluded general elections.

“This evidently tells on our conscience to wave back and see from the drawing board where we've gone wrong and to make amends”, Bala stated, saying coalition consists up of seasoned politicians cutting across the state, youth activists, veteran political leaders of various strata, leaders civil society organizations, youth and women groups.

Bala explained that they wholeheartedly respect and honour Sen. Halliru Dauda Jika’s right to his personal decision of what ever in politics, but do not share his decision of leaving APC to either of the opposition party, under which he participated in the gubernatorial race of 2023.

According to the coalition, one cannot take part in the destruction of the house he built with sweat and hard labour, and described senator Jika as one of the very few exceptional leaders whose contribution to APC is beyond measure.

Groups stated that they remained solidly and firmly on this noble initiation and further appealed to the Senator to persevere in patience and come back home to per take in the effort of salvaging the soul of the party from dying, assuring that they will use all available machineries at their disposal to reach out to those who matters most in the affairs of APC in the country in realizing this objective.

“We are hopeful that, Sen. Halliru Dauda Jika will respect the dignity of innocent hard working members of APC who still felt the pain in missing his contributions to the party's success, from merger days, dearly”.

Malam Umar Bala said that they were hopeful that their stolen mandate of the various positions under the NNPP in the last elections which was characterized by malpractices will be reclaim back by the court of competent jurisdiction.
