A communiqué, signed by the Chairman of the Coalition of APC Support Groups, Hon. Khaleel Sajo, at the end of a meeting between the Coalition's leadership and the APC leadership in the state, condemned the suspension of party members and the threats issued by the party leadership in Adamawa.
The meeting, held on June 29, 2024, in Yola, also resolved that the party would not participate in the forthcoming local government election due to issues with the composition of the ADSIEC members.
The communiqué specifically condemned the suspension of party members and the threats by the leadership, resolving to address these issues through dialogue and reconciliation.
The meeting also highlighted the need for youth recognition and inclusive governance within the party. It resolved to work towards creating opportunities for youth involvement in party activities.
The meeting expressed appreciation to the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, and Malam Nuhu Ribadu, NSA, for their appointments. The attendees urged these officials to secure more opportunities for loyal party members and thanked them for their contributions to the party.
Concerns were raised about the fate of APC youths in Adamawa State, with resolutions to address their challenges. The leadership was challenged to prioritize inclusive governance and ensure the participation of all party members, especially the youth, in decision-making processes.
In summary, the APC groups resolved to address the challenges facing APC youths in Adamawa and urged the youths to serve as a real opposition.
