As preparations for this year's Hajj commence, pilgrims from the 44 local governments of Kano State have expressed their appreciation for Governor Abba Yusuf Kabir's welfare efforts.

The governor's initiatives have significantly improved their stay in Medinah and Mecca, according to Sheikh Muhajjadina Sani Kano, a renowned Islamic cleric and the Chairman of the African Association of Astrologers.

In an interview with our correspondent in Mecca, Sheikh Muhajjadina praised the comprehensive plans put in place by the Kano State Pilgrims Commission. "Accommodation and food were well provided for, and the health needs of the pilgrims were properly attended to," he said. "The commission's efforts, from preparations at home to the holy land, have been commendable. They conducted workshops to educate the pilgrims on performing a successful Hajj."

Sheikh Muhajjadina also noted that, with the exception of five individuals who faced difficulties, all pilgrims from the state were successfully transported to Medinah. There, they participated in various visits and were provided with excellent accommodation and meals. "No one complained; they were served chicken, meat, and fish, which sometimes overwhelmed them. This is all thanks to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf's efforts. I urge all Nigerian governors, including the President, to emulate his exemplary work," he said. "That's why you see almost all the pilgrims praying for his success."

Governor Abba Yusuf Kabir has notably provided special support to the state's pilgrims, covering their Hajj expenses and offering additional financial assistance to ensure their well-being in the holy land.

Sheikh Muhajjadina called on the people of Kano State to continue supporting the governor's administration to facilitate the successful implementation of development projects and improve the state's quality of life.

In conclusion, he urged the Pilgrims Board to further enhance the welfare of the pilgrims by securing accommodation closer to the Haram.
