The NUJ Niger Council calls on Muslim faithful to pray for the peace and progress of the state and Nigeria. Muslim faithful in Niger State have been urged to pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the state and Nigeria as a whole during the festive and joyous period of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Niger State Council, Comrade Abu Nmodu, made this call in a Sallah message issued and signed by the Assistant Secretary of the Council, Abubakar Adamu Kuta. He stated that the event connotes sacrifice, faith, and obedience to the will of the Almighty Allah, noting that the lessons of sacrifice and total submission to the will of the Almighty Allah should continue to resonate in the lives of the faithful and guide them in their relationships with the Creator and fellow human beings.
The award-winning chairman implored the Muslim Ummah to emulate the faithfulness, sacrifice, and patience exhibited by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be Upon Him) and the humility as well as total submission to the will of Allah by his son, Ismael (Peace be Upon Him). He felicitated with the Muslims for witnessing this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival and urged them to imbibe the lessons of love and sacrifice that the season symbolizes as they celebrate.
Abu Nmodu asserted, “As we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, it is my sincere wish that we celebrate in moderation, reflect on the lessons of the Eid-el-Kabir festival, show love to one another, work and pray for a reduced cost of living and a greater level of prosperity among us, for our dear state and the country. May God accept our worship as an act of Ibadah. Barka da Sallah.”
