In a bid to reduce youth restiveness and promote economic growth and development, Senator Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger North Senatorial District flagged off a skills acquisition training for 100 youths across the zone at his constituency office in Kontagora Local Government Area.
The beneficiaries, who are to undergo training in various skills such as tailoring, poultry, painting and POP, fishery, catering and decorations, plumbing and piping, among others, were selected from each ward of the eight Local Government Areas across Zone "C."
The Sadaukin Kontagora, Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, provided free accommodation and a 15,000 Naira monthly allowance to the beneficiaries for the period of 3-6 months during their training in Kontagora LG. Beneficiaries from Borgu and Agwara LGs are to undergo their training in Borgu LGA.
Among the dignitaries who represented the Senator during the flag-off were Hon. Aminu Wushishi, Alh. Ali Kira (PA to the Senator), Hajiya Fatima Madugu (former Commissioner), Alh. Bala Kawo, and Dr. Amina, among others.
The training is scheduled to start on July 1, 2024.
God bless the Senator for prioritizing youth. As the saying goes, "It's far better to teach people how to catch fish than to give them fish to eat."
