In an exciting friendly match, Arewa United narrowly defeated Zaria Professionals 2-1. The match took place on July 27, 2024, at Jushi Model Primary School field in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Despite being an established team in the Jushi Ward of Sabon Gari, Arewa United has only recently started making a name for itself in the area. Zaria Professionals, on the other hand, boast players who have either played abroad or are currently competing in Nigeria’s league.
Zaria Professionals dominated the first half but were unable to convert their chances, leaving the scoreline at 0-0 by halftime.

In the second half, Arewa United made two key substitutions, bringing on Ibrahim and Ishaku, which completely changed the dynamics of the game. Ishaku opened the scoring with an assist from Ibrahim. The second goal followed shortly after, with Jandi finding the net following a one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
Near the end of the game, Zaria Professionals managed to score a consolation goal, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome. The match concluded with a 2-1 victory for Arewa United.
