The death of Alhaji Muhammad Jibo of Tudun Wada, Zaria, has passed away.
He died at the age of 92 on Wednesday after a prolonged illness at his residence in Tudun Wada, Zaria.
He is survived by three wives, ten children, and many grandchildren. Among the children is the late Yusuf Jibo, a veteran broadcaster who served at the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), CNN, and later became Chairman of the Governing Board of the Kaduna State Media Corporation.
Alhaji Muhammad Jibo was a distinguished public servant.
He served in the Nigerian Railway Corporation, where he excelled and reached the pinnacle of his career. He also held various positions in the Northern Government of Nigeria, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, and served as Federal Commissioner of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Additionally, he was an adviser to the Kaduna State Government and the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Alhaji Jibo was conferred with the prestigious Membership of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (MFR).
