The Bauchi State Government has extended support to flood-affected communities in Borno State with a donation of N250 million and a commitment to provide two daily meals for 10,000 flood victims until the situation normalizes.
Governor Bala Mohammed announced the relief package during his visit to Borno State to commiserate with the government over the devastating flood disaster.
Governor Mohammed also revealed that the Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) would collaborate with Borno's humanitarian response team to deliver relief services to the affected areas.
"This flood has caused significant damage, including loss of lives and properties, with far-reaching consequences," the governor said.
He further commended the leadership and resilience of Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum in managing the crisis during this challenging period.
In response, Governor Zulum expressed profound gratitude to the Bauchi State Government for the timely and effective donation. He assured that the resources would be used efficiently and transparently to support the affected communities.
