Hon. Adamu Muhammad Shika, a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Giwa West, has called on the youth of Giwa and Kaduna State at large to ensure the upcoming Local Government elections, set to take place in seven days, are peaceful and successful. He emphasized the importance of avoiding violence to foster development in the state.
Hon. Shika made this appeal during an interview with our reporter after delivering a speech at the graduation ceremony of Shehu Usman Fashion Academy, held at the main conference hall of Balarabe Tanimu, IAR, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He remarked that elections are ultimately decided by the will of Almighty Allah, who knows the outcome, while it is for humans to remain patient and peaceful.
The lawmaker urged the people of Giwa and the entire state to contribute to ensuring the election proceeds smoothly, as this would help maintain peace and stability.
Addressing questions about the challenges facing his local government, Hon. Shika expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for His assistance in difficult times. He acknowledged that insecurity is not unique to Giwa Local Government but affects other parts of the state as well. Despite this, he commended the efforts of Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, in tackling the issue of insecurity.
Hon. Shika further called on the people of Giwa to remain patient and continue praying for lasting peace in the region.
In conclusion, he extended his best wishes to Hon. Abubakar Jamil Albani, a chairmanship candidate for Sabon Gari Local Government, in the upcoming elections.
