The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has finalized arrangements for the distribution of starter packs to graduates of its Youth Transformation Programme (YTP). These graduates have successfully met all the requirements set forth by the commission.
In a press release, Nura Tanko Wakili, mnipr, Head of Press and Public Affairs at N-HYPPADEC, announced that the commission has already sent notification and invitation letters to the governors of the six states that participated in the program, seeking their concurrence with the proposed dates.
According to the programme itinerary, the national flag-off ceremony will take place in Minna, Niger State, on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Beneficiaries from Plateau and Benue States will receive their starter packs in their respective state capitals on November 5 and 7.
The distribution continues in Birnin Kebbi, the capital of Kebbi State, on November 9, followed by Lokoja, Kogi State, on November 26, and in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, on December 1, 2024.
Only beneficiaries who are duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission and have submitted undertaking letters from their guarantors will be eligible to receive the starter packs.
N-HYPPADEC emphasized its commitment to maintaining due diligence and following meticulous processes to ensure the program's objectives are fully realized.
The Managing Director of the commission, Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, fcna, FNIM (Katukan Yauri), expressed deep appreciation to the beneficiaries for their patience, despite attempts by external parties to disrupt the process. He congratulated them as the long-awaited distribution date approaches and reaffirmed the commission's dedication to promoting youth welfare and improving living standards.
