Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State has called on Nigerians to intensify their prayers for peace and prosperity as the nation celebrates its 64th Independence anniversary.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor acknowledged the difficult times Nigeria is facing, including economic hardships driven by various factors. He urged citizens to remain steadfast in their faith in God, assuring them that efforts are being made at all levels of government to ease their challenges and stabilize the economy.
"The challenges may be significant, but they are surmountable. By the grace of God, there is light at the end of the tunnel," Governor Bago stated.
He encouraged Nigerians to not only focus on the negatives but also to reflect on God's blessings and express gratitude for the nation's continued unity despite its trials.
The Governor emphasized the importance of a united Nigeria, noting that a cohesive country is more beneficial for all its citizens.
While congratulating Nigerians on the 64th anniversary of the country’s independence, Governor Bago urged everyone to remain resolute, law-abiding, and supportive of the government’s nation-building efforts, which he described as a collective responsibility.
Additionally, he reassured the people of Niger State that his administration is committed to ensuring the security of lives and livelihoods and to achieving the goals of the "New Niger" agenda for the benefit of all.
