Governor Umar Namadi has called on the newly appointed Minister of State for Education, Dr. Suwaiba Saidu, to serve as a worthy ambassador for Jigawa State and uphold the trust placed in her by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Namadi made the remarks when Dr. Saidu, accompanied by a delegation of elder statesmen, traditional rulers, and community leaders from Babura Local Government and Ringim Emirate, paid him a visit in Dutse.

Acknowledging Dr. Saidu’s appointment, Governor Namadi praised her dedication and capabilities, urging her to leverage her experience to improve education in Jigawa State and across Nigeria.

“Her appointment as a minister is the will of Allah. I must say the Honourable Minister is a committed and capable individual. Before her appointment, she served as Provost of the Jigawa State College of Islamic and Legal Studies, and within six months, she transformed the college significantly,” the governor remarked.

“This achievement demonstrated her capacity. When this opportunity arose, we needed someone who would support the president’s vision and work for the progress of our nation. She was the right choice, and we are grateful that her appointment has been realized.”

The governor expressed confidence that Dr. Saidu would fulfill her duties with excellence. “We congratulate her and trust that she will not disappoint Mr. President or the people of Jigawa. Our primary expectation is that she will drive the president’s educational reform agenda and contribute to the Renewed Hope vision.”

In her response, Dr. Saidu expressed gratitude to Governor Namadi for his support in her nomination and emphasized her commitment to advancing education.

“I want to thank the Executive Governor of Jigawa State for considering me worthy of this appointment. I assure the governor and the people of Nigeria that I will work diligently to deliver on the mandate entrusted to me, particularly regarding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform agenda for education,” she said.

Dr. Saidu reaffirmed her dedication to the development of education in Jigawa and Nigeria and pledged to work tirelessly to implement President Tinubu’s vision for educational reform. She also expressed appreciation to the people of Jigawa, especially the residents of Babura Local Government and Ringim Emirate, for their support and for accompanying her during the visit.
