The Commandant Depot Nigerian Army Major General Ahmadu Bello Mohammed has charged Officers and Soldiers of the institution to always exhibit absolute dedication and professionalism in their noble task as instructors in order to meet the objective of turning out well-trained and good soldiers for the Nigerian Army.
In a Press statement issued by the

Depot Nigerian Army Zaria said the new Commandant made this assertion during the Handing and Taking Over Ceremony which held today Tuesday at the Headquarters Depot Conference Room Chindit Cantonment Zaria.
The Commandant who took over command as the 38th Commandant of the great institution from the immediate past Commandant Major General Muhammed Aminu Abdullahi promised that he will ensure that recruits welfare which includes feeding, medical care and their training is improved to the highest standards while also ensuring that the overall welfare of Officers and Soldiers are given utmost priority.
The Commandant further charged the Officers and Soldiers instructors to eschew sentiment, fraternization and all forms of unprofessional conduct while carrying out their tasks as instructors.
In his farewell address, the immediate past Commandant Major General Muhammed Aminu Abdullahi thanked the Officers and Soldiers of the institution for their service and cooperation.
He further requested that they should extend same commitment and cooperation to the new commandant.
The highpoint of the event witnessed the signing of the Handing and Taking Over Notes, decoration of Major General Ahmadu Mohammed with Depot Nigerian Army Insignia by Major General Aminu Abdullahi and the symbolic handing and taking over of Depot Nigerian Army Command Flag.
Present during the Handing and Taking Over Ceremony were the Chief of Staff Headquarters Depot Nigerian Army Colonel Salisu Tafida, Senior Officers, Officer and Soldier of Depot Nigerian Army.
