A new broadcasting platform, Qadiriyya Radio and Television, has officially commenced operations in the Giginyu area of Kano city.
During the launch event, the chairman of the media outlet, Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim Isah Abdullahi Makwarari, highlighted its mission to educate, enlighten, and unify the Muslim community by promoting the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Dr. Makwarari emphasized that Qadiriyya Radio and Television will also focus on community education, covering topics such as business, socioeconomic development, entertainment, and political affairs within Nigeria and beyond. The platform will be accessible via its official website, www.qadiriyyaradionigeria.com
He further invited Islamic scholars, students, and professionals from diverse fields to contribute to the growth and development of Islamic knowledge and community welfare through the station.
In their remarks, Dr. Adam Kamaluddeen Adamu Nama’aji Alfindiki, Sheikh Jamilu Alkadiri—the chief imam of Jami’ul Kaumi Juma’at Mosque in Kurna—and Abul Bashar Ibada, secretary of Rabida Muhammadiyya Nigeria, underscored the importance of the new media channels. They praised the initiative for its potential to spread Islamic teachings and promote positive ideologies to the wider community.
