The African Action Congress (AAC) has strongly dissociated itself from the activities of a fictitious organization known as the Forum of National Youth Leaders of All Political Parties in Nigeria (FNLYLPPN). The group has been misleadingly soliciting support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its anti-poor policies.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday and signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Femi Adeyeye, the AAC condemned the FNLYLPPN’s endorsement of the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
"We have been informed that this organization recently received ₦30 million from government representatives, specifically from the Ministry of Youths, in exchange for a promise that all political parties in Nigeria would declare support for the regime. We wish to emphasize that the AAC does not align with such arrangements, as they contradict our principles and values as a party committed to the fight against corruption," the statement read.
Furthermore, the AAC accused the group of impersonation, falsely presenting themselves as members of various political parties, including the AAC. The party categorically denied any affiliation with an individual named Tsamya Joseph, who was reportedly involved in receiving funds on behalf of the AAC. "This individual is unknown to our party structures, and we will investigate this matter further," the statement added.
The AAC announced that it would take immediate action by involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other security agencies to arrest those responsible for the impersonation and ensure a thorough investigation.
"We will not tolerate this shameful act and demand that it be brought to an end," the party asserted.
The statement concluded by urging the Tinubu-led administration to focus on governance and delivering meaningful solutions to Nigerians instead of resorting to desperate propaganda tactics.
