Speaker of the House of Representatives,Dr. Abbas Tajudeen has been hailed for providing succour to primary school teachers in his constituency to enhance performance.

Dr. Suleiman Balarabe, Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria, said the gesture will no doubt enhance education standard and promote teachers' welfare.

Suleiman made the remarks at the 6th Induction and Oath-taking ceremony for successful candidates who passed the 2024/2025 Professional Qualifying Examination (Internal) of the Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), held at the Federal University of Education, Zaria on Monday.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor praised Dr. Abbas Tajudeen's timely and effective interventions, which greatly benefit teachers and heads of schools in Zaria. 

Specifically, he commended the distribution of motorcycles and foodstuffs to headmasters and foodstuffs to primary school teachers in Zaria. 

He also acknowledged the Speaker's interventions within the university, including the installation of solar power at the University's CBT Centre, installation of street lights, distribution of foodstuffs to staff, and plans to redistribute more foodstuffs to staff of the institution as Ramadan palliative.

Dr. Balarabe noted that the Speaker's support is not only motivating but highly encouraging to the teaching profession, which justified his recognition of teachers' efforts and relevance as nation-builders.

While congratulating the inductees, Dr. Balarabe urged them to take the teaching profession seriously, stressing that it is a noble calling that requires dedication and hard work. "I congratulate you all as you are inducted into the teaching profession today.

"This event celebrates your commitment and achievement, marking the beginning of new opportunities in the field of education."

"I therefore pray for your success and wished you well in your future academic endeavors." He said.

The induction ceremony, marks the official initiation into the teaching profession.
