Governor Umar Namadi has reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment through skills development and employment opportunities, emphasizing that it remains a central pillar of his administration’s 12-point agenda aimed at advancing Jigawa State.

The governor made this declaration during the inauguration of F&M Supermarket, a newly established superstore located on Malam-Madori Road in Hadejia. The supermarket is owned by prominent businessman Alhaji Sulaiman Umar Uba.

Governor Namadi underscored that providing young people with the skills necessary to compete in today’s dynamic job market is a core aspect of his administration's development blueprint.

"Empowering the youth with skills and employment opportunities is a key component of our 12-point agenda for the development of Jigawa State," he said.

As part of this commitment, Governor Namadi revealed that the state government is establishing palliative shops across Jigawa. These shops, he explained, aim to subsidize essential commodities while creating employment opportunities for residents.

"We are making concerted efforts to provide employment for our people in various sectors," the governor added.

He praised the establishment of the shopping mall as a valuable addition to the local economy, noting that it would generate jobs, particularly for the youth.

"This initiative not only strengthens the local economy but also plays a crucial role in supporting the government’s efforts to address unemployment in our communities," he stated.

Governor Namadi also reiterated the state government’s commitment to supporting individuals and businesses that contribute meaningfully to community development.

"We will continue to encourage those who demonstrate a strong commitment to the welfare of our people and the progress of our communities," he concluded.
