Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has called on the Muslim Ummah to maintain their devotion to the worship of Allah beyond the Ramadan fasting period.
In a message conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago congratulated Muslims worldwide on the successful completion of Ramadan and the joyous celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
He reminded the Muslim community that the teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith—centered on peace, love, discipline, and humility—should be upheld throughout life, not just during Ramadan.
Expressing gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to witness another Eid, the Governor emphasized that the celebration is a time for love, charity, and peaceful coexistence with people of all faiths.
He urged Muslims to use the occasion to pray for lasting peace in Nigeria, particularly in Niger State, and for leaders to remain dedicated to selfless service.
Governor Bago also reaffirmed his commitment to building a “New Niger” where every citizen will have a sense of belonging and access to opportunities for growth and development.
