Journalists in Kebbi State have lauded the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, for distributing Ramadan palliatives across the state’s 21 local government areas.

Alhaji Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor, expressed the commendation while addressing reporters in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.

He acknowledged with satisfaction that the minister extended his generosity to members of the media, recognizing their role in society.

“On behalf of the Government House Press Crew and the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kebbi State Chapter, I wish to express our profound gratitude to the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, for his generosity and kindness to journalists during this Ramadan season.

“This is the first time in the history of Kebbi State that a former governor and a serving minister has provided support not only to the entire Government House staff but also to individuals outside the government circle,” he stated.

Idris described the gesture as a testament to the minister’s dedication to the welfare and well-being of Kebbi residents.

“Your initiative has reached all 21 local government areas, positively impacting the lives of the masses at the grassroots level. May Allah (SWT) reward you abundantly and bless your family,” he prayed.

He further noted that media practitioners were grateful to Almighty Allah for granting them the grace to witness the holy month of Ramadan, which was drawing to a close.

“May this period of fasting and devotion be marked by good health, spiritual fulfillment, and divine blessings for you as the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning and for the people of Kebbi State.

“Ramadan is a time for devotion, dedication, and repentance to Allah. It is also a season of compassion and generosity toward humanity, promoting spiritual rejuvenation, self-discipline, and empathy for the less fortunate.

“We appreciate you for being a shining example of selflessness and kindness. May your generosity bring joy and blessings to the people of Kebbi State and all Nigerians,” he prayed.
