The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has announced that the Board will work in synergy with the Kano State Transport Authority (Kano Line) for the 2025 Hajj operations. He made this known while receiving the management team and committee members of Kano Line in his office.
This was contained in a press statement signed and made available to newsmen by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman A. Dederi.
Alhaji Danbappa reaffirmed the Board’s commitment, saying: “Before assuming office, we made a pledge in the presence of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusif, to work closely and in synergy with all relevant government agencies, including the Pilgrims Welfare Board.”
He assured that the Board will collaborate fully with Kano Line to ensure a smooth transportation process for intending pilgrims. He further emphasized that all necessary requirements for the transportation of pilgrims would be communicated well in advance to enable Kano Line to adequately prepare.
Earlier, the Managing Director of Kano State Transport Authority (Kano Line), Alhaji Sa’idu Abdullahi Shu’aibu, stated that the purpose of their visit was to revive the longstanding relationship between Kano Line and the Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Alhaji Sa’idu Abdullahi reiterated his commitment to revitalizing the state’s transportation sector in line with the government’s vision of advancing Kano State’s development.
He expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the Pilgrims Welfare Board and pledged that Kano Line would be well-organized and fully ready to support the 2025 Hajj operations.
