The Nupe Tafsir Organization has successfully concluded its 2025 Ramadan Tafsir program, marking its 27th anniversary in a grand event held at Gidan Matasa, Minna. The gathering, attended by dignitaries and scholars, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to fostering Islamic knowledge, peace, and national development.
The highlight of the event was a lecture delivered by the esteemed Islamic scholar, Dr. Umar Faruq Abdullahi, Chief Imam of Bosso Estate Jumaat Mosques and Director-General of the Niger State Bureau of Religious Affairs. In his address, Dr. Abdullahi emphasized the urgent need for government intervention to alleviate economic hardships faced by Nigerians, particularly in the wake of petrol subsidy removal and increased electricity tariffs.
Themed "Special State/National Prayers for Peace & Progress in Nigeria," the program underscored the Nupe Tafsir Organization’s dedication to promoting national unity and societal well-being.
The occasion was graced by notable dignitaries, including the representative of the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, and the revered Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, both of whom delivered goodwill messages. Special prayers were offered for the peace and progress of Nigeria, and distinguished individuals were honored with awards and gifts in recognition of their contributions to the society.
As the Nupe Tafsir Organization celebrates this milestone, it continues to serve as a beacon of hope and enlightenment, striving to instill moral values, religious teachings, and national unity among Nigerians.
