The Chairman of Shanga Local Government Area in Kebbi State, Hon. Abdullahi Abdullahi Mohammed, has donated Sallah clothes to 2,000 residents and 200 bags of grains to support his constituents during the festive period.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony in Shanga, Mohammed emphasized that the gesture was aimed at assisting both men and women, particularly the less privileged, to enable them to celebrate Sallah with joy and dignity.
Beyond the festive donations, the chairman also provided a transformer to Yar Besse village and facilitated the community’s reconnection to the national grid, further demonstrating his administration’s commitment to grassroots development.
He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the support and reiterated his dedication to improving the welfare of the people.
Mohammed also commended the Governor of Kebbi State, His Excellency Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for creating an enabling environment that allows local government chairmen to effectively serve their communities.
