The Zahra Relief Foundation has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic gas explosion that occurred on Wednesday night along the Abuja-Nasarawa expressway.
In a statement signed by its Media and Publicity Department, the foundation extended its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and sympathized with those who sustained injuries and suffered property losses.
The explosion, which resulted in multiple casualties, has left several victims in urgent need of medical attention.
The Zahra Relief Foundation called on the public to support the affected families and urged individuals to donate blood to assist those in critical condition.
“As part of our commitment to humanity and in line with Islamic teachings of extending a helping hand, we appeal to the public to show kindness to the victims in any way possible,” the statement read. “We particularly call on eligible donors to contribute blood to save lives.”
The foundation identified National Hospital Abuja and Karu General Hospital as facilities where blood donations can be made. It also advised willing donors to contact the National Blood Donation Agency at 07088370905 for further guidance.
Offering prayers for the victims, the Foundation asked Allah (SWT) to grant a speedy recovery to the injured, restore the losses of those affected, and prevent such tragedies from occurring again.
