Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, alongside other governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC), paid a Sallah homage to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna.
The visit was led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who also serves as Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Governor Uzodimma said the purpose of the visit was to check on the former president’s well-being, describing Buhari as the "father of the APC."
He noted that the visit was a demonstration of unity and strength within the ruling party.
Governor Uzodimma expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet the former president in good health, adding that the visit followed the completion of the Ramadan fast, Lent, and Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
“We came to pay a courtesy visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari. As you know, he is the only former president produced by the APC,” Uzodimma said.
“We are delighted to see him in good health. We interacted with him, shared moments together, and are now ready to return to our respective states.”
“He is pleased with the direction of the party and surprised—but happy—about our visit. We thank Almighty God for preserving his health. He remains a father figure in our political journey.”
Uzodimma also emphasized the strength of the APC, noting, “The APC is the largest political party in Africa. It is the ruling party with 21 governors, and we are committed to making it even stronger.”
Also speaking, the host and Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, praised Buhari for his continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC.
“We are here with fellow APC governors to visit former President Muhammadu Buhari. We appreciate the unwavering support he continues to give to our party and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Governor Sani said.
