In a sweeping show of loyalty and development-oriented leadership, the Executive Chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government Area, Hon. Jamilu Abubakar Albani, has thrown his weight behind Governor Uba Sani’s second-term bid while simultaneously launching landmark education and infrastructure projects aimed at transforming the area.

Speaking during two high-profile events held on May 13 and 14, 2025, Hon. Albani praised the Kaduna State Governor for his visionary governance, especially in education and grassroots development, calling him “the backbone of our success” and a leader “whose inclusive governance model is transforming lives across Kaduna State.”

At the official launch of the NECO/NBAIS Education Empowerment Programme held at the Pilgrimage Board Hall of the Sabon Gari Local Government Secretariat, Albani unveiled an initiative to distribute free NECO and NBAIS examination forms to 350 secondary school students.

“This is a historic day for education in Sabon Gari,” the Chairman declared. “Every achievement we record at the grassroots level is made possible by the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani. I proudly declare my full support for his second-term ambition.”

He urged residents across the state to support the governor’s re-election, describing his administration as one that champions “inclusion, development, and empowerment.” He cited notable state-supported projects in Sabon Gari, including road constructions in Hanwa, Palladan, and Basawa; scholarship schemes across the eleven wards; and robust youth empowerment programmes.

Albani explained that the Governor’s action to reduce school fees in state-owned institutions inspired the local education initiative. “Our goal is to uplift the lives of ordinary people in Sabon Gari. This initiative is just the beginning,” he stated.

In an emotional display of gratitude, students from Government Secondary School, Hanwa, and Jama’a expressed their appreciation, calling the gesture “a motivation to strive for excellence.” The event drew participants from the education sector, political leadership, and traditional institutions.

Just a day before the education launch, Hon. Albani led the flag-off of three transformational infrastructure projects: a flyover road at Kwangila in Hanwa Ward, a bridge in Palladan (Basawa Ward), and the Sakadadi Road in Dogarawa Ward.

“These projects reflect our unwavering commitment to the development and well-being of our people,” the Chairman told attendees at the ceremony. “They mark a significant milestone in our journey to reposition Sabon Gari through strategic infrastructure development.”

The Kwangila flyover is set to serve as a vital transportation link between Northern Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja—poised to enhance both economic activities and regional connectivity. The Palladan bridge and Sakadadi Road will ease local traffic and improve access to essential services.

He assured residents that the projects will be executed with transparency, accountability, and strict adherence to quality standards, urging community members to cooperate with contractors for timely completion.

Among the dignitaries at the flag-off were the Kaduna State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Aminu Abdullahi Shagali; the Member representing Sabon Gari Constituency at the State Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Idi; the SSA on Workers’ Affairs; APC council leaders; and other key stakeholders.

Reiterating the local government’s commitment to supporting the Governor’s vision, Albani concluded: “In Sabon Gari, we have nothing but praise for Uba Sani. Come 2027, he will win by a landslide.”

He also announced upcoming projects—including the LIMI Hospital—vowing to invite journalists and stakeholders to witness progress firsthand.

With combined efforts in education, infrastructure, and youth empowerment, Sabon Gari under Hon. Albani is fast emerging as a model of grassroots development—one that mirrors the broader vision of Governor Uba Sani’s Kaduna State.
