GUSAU – The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has posted Corps Commander Aliyu Maaji to Zamfara State as the new Sector Commander, following a nationwide redeployment of senior officers. He becomes the 17th officer to head the RS10.3 Zamfara Sector Command.
Prior to this appointment, Maaji served as the Sector Commander of RS1.3 Katsina State Command. His posting to Zamfara marks another milestone in a distinguished career spanning various departments within the Corps.
A statement signed by the Public Education Officer, RS10.3 Zamfara, Isah Aliyu, described Commander Maaji as “a seasoned and committed administrator” who brings a wealth of experience to his new role. “He is always alive to his responsibilities in order to achieve a safer road use in Nigeria,” the statement added.
Upon assuming duty, the new Sector Commander called for the support and cooperation of all stakeholders, including the public, to improve road safety and reduce traffic crashes across the state.
“I seek the support and cooperation of stakeholders and the good people of Zamfara State in enhancing road safety and reducing road traffic crashes in every part of the state,” Maaji said.
He also expressed gratitude to the FRSC management for the opportunity to serve in Zamfara State, pledging to deliver effective leadership and uphold the Corps’ mandate.
