The Niger State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) will hold its Annual Symposium and General Meeting on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
According to a statement issued by the chapter’s secretary, Aliyu Jibo Garba, MNIPR, the event will take place at the Women Event Centre, near the Old Secretariat in Minna, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Themed “Communication Strategies in Managing Security Information in Niger State,” the event will be chaired by the former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zubairu Dada, FNIPR. The Commissioner for Information, Hon. Binta Mamman, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour, while the Head of Service, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Idris, will attend as Guest of Honour.
The statement added that the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, MNIPS, will deliver the lead paper. Perspective papers will be presented by the Commissioner for Homeland Security, General Abdullahi Mohammed (Rtd), and Dr. Ternenge Samuel Ende, Head of the Mass Communication Department at IBB University, Lapai, who will serve as the discussant.
Chairmen of Chanchaga and Bosso Local Government Areas, Hon. Aminu Ladan and Hon. Ladidi Bawa Bosso, will attend as special guests.
The event is being hosted by the Chairman of the Niger State NIPR Chapter, Mahmud Abdullahi, MNIPR.
