President Bola Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) scheduled for Wednesday.
The president touched down at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, at about 4:15 PM.
Upon arrival, President Tinubu was welcomed by a delegation led by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
A military guard of honour was also presented in his honour.
The president is set to join other West African leaders and dignitaries to mark the milestone anniversary of the regional organisation.
During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu is scheduled to inaugurate several key projects on Saturday, May 31.
These include the opening of Section One of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the Lekki Deep Sea Port Tax Credit Concrete Road, the launch of Section Two of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, and the 7th Axial Road.
The president will also attend Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the State House, Dodan Barracks, before departing back to Abuja.
