The Bauchi State Economic and Investment Team, led by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Aminu Hammayo, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) as part of preparations for the Lagos Investment Roadshow scheduled for tomorrow.

The visit is a key component of the ongoing Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit Roadshows being held across major economic hubs in Nigeria, aimed at attracting private sector investment into the state.

Speaking on behalf of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Hon. Hammayo emphasised the state's commitment to fostering partnerships with the private sector and attracting both local and international investments into critical sectors such as agriculture, solid minerals, tourism, energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing.

He noted that Bauchi State is richly endowed with natural and human resources, and is strategically positioning itself as Nigeria’s next frontier for sustainable investments. He added that the administration is offering investor-friendly policies, enabling infrastructure, and a governance structure rooted in transparency and accountability.

In her remarks, the President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Gabriel Idahosa, praised Governor Bala Mohammed and the Bauchi State Government for the foresight in initiating the investment roadshow. She assured the delegation of the Chamber’s willingness to support the effort by facilitating partnerships with Lagos-based investors keen on exploring opportunities in Northern Nigeria.

Tomorrow’s Lagos Investment Roadshow is expected to bring together industry leaders, financial institutions, development partners, and other key stakeholders in the investment ecosystem to engage with the Bauchi State Government on emerging opportunities and long-term partnerships.

The Bauchi State Government reiterated its commitment to creating an enabling business environment and called on investors to take advantage of the state’s untapped potential across various sectors.
