As the bye-election for the Kaduna State House of Assembly seat representing Basawa Constituency in Sabon Gari Local Government Area commenced on Saturday, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Muhammad Sani SAS, lauded party loyalists for their impressive mobilisation and strong showing at the polls.
Alhaji Sani SAS, who serves as Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman of Sabon Gari LGA, Hon. Jamilu Albani, expressed satisfaction with the high level of party solidarity and grassroots participation exhibited by APC members during the ongoing electoral process.
Speaking to journalists while monitoring the election across various polling units, the APC stalwart described the turnout as a clear testament to the party’s growing popularity and organisational strength at the ward level.
“I am highly impressed with the level of enthusiasm and commitment displayed by our party faithful. They turned out in large numbers to exercise their democratic rights in support of the APC. This level of participation gives us strong confidence that victory is within reach,” he stated.
He further commended the peaceful atmosphere surrounding the exercise, noting that the election was being conducted in a calm and orderly manner devoid of violence or voter intimidation.
“This bye-election is being conducted in a peaceful and credible environment. Voters are turning out massively, and the process is going on smoothly,” he affirmed.
Expressing optimism about the party’s chances, he added, “We are confident that the APC will emerge victorious. Even if voting were to end at this moment, we are certain that the outcome would be in our favour.”
