In its continued commitment to digital empowerment, MASSNOOR TECH HUB has successfully organised a one-day intensive training program on Computer Operations and Internet Navigation for teenagers. The event took place at the Tech Hub’s office located in Sabon Gari, Zaria, Kaduna State.
The training brought together enthusiastic participants aged between 6 and 15, drawn from a number of public and private secondary schools in Zaria, including Zenith Academy, GSS Dogon Bauchi, Great Golden Height, GSS Chindit Barracks, ADUMAS Model College, and Prestige Leadership Academy.
The COO of Massnoor Tech Hub, Ammar Muhammad Rajab, said the goal of the training was to introduce the students to basic computer literacy, including computer parts, system operations, and safe internet usage. “We believe in catching them young. This program is designed to lay a strong foundation in ICT for students and expose them to the power of purposeful browsing,” he said.
The training included hands-on sessions where students learned how to power a computer, use basic applications like word processors, type and print documents, and safely browse the internet for educational content.
At the end of the training, all participants were awarded Certificates of Completion, acknowledging their newly acquired skills.
One of the participants, Zainab Muhammad, shared her excitement: “Before coming to this training, I knew nothing about computers. But now, I know how to turn on and off a computer, type, and even print documents.”
Another student, Abdulhakim Saidu, proudly said, “I can now operate a computer and browse the internet to search for useful information. I’m grateful for the opportunity.”
The students expressed appreciation for the impactful training, noting their eagerness to attend similar future programs.
This initiative by Massnoor Tech Hub marks another step in bridging the digital divide and equipping the next generation with essential 21st-century skills.
