The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Zamfara Sector Command, has launched a special patrol aimed at apprehending violators involved in the mix-loading of goods and passengers, as well as haulage trucks that flout traffic regulations.

According to a statement signed by the Command’s Public Education Officer, SRC Aliyu Isah, the patrol targets trucks that engage in excessive loading, operate without speed-limiting devices, or transport animals alongside humans — practices deemed dangerous and illegal.

The statement noted that the Sector Command had observed a recurring trend of reckless behavior by haulage truck drivers who often speed excessively and engage in mixed loading while passing through Zamfara State.

The Sector Commander, CC Aliyu Ma’aji, urged motorists and the general public to cooperate with FRSC personnel to promote a safer road environment across the state. He further warned that vehicles without proper registration or with obscured number plates would also be apprehended during the operation.

CC Ma’aji reiterated the Corps' commitment to enforcing traffic laws and ensuring public safety on all major roads in Zamfara.
