The Zamfara State College of Health Sciences and Technology (ZMSCHST), Tsafe, has unveiled plans to implement a College System Strengthening Policy (CSSP) aimed at improving institutional operations and aligning the college with modern technological standards.
In a statement signed by the college's Information Officer, Jamilu Sani Tsafe, the Acting Provost, Malam Jamilu Lawal, disclosed the initiative during his maiden management meeting with Directors and Heads of Departments at the ASU Common Room.
According to Malam Jamilu Lawal, the CSSP is designed to standardize administrative and academic processes across the institution. He noted that the college management will undertake a comprehensive review of existing policies to pave the way for institutional excellence.
“The college has already introduced a cashless policy, and we will continue to embrace digitalization to ensure that our operations are efficient and meet global standards,” the Acting Provost said.
He added that all government payment platforms will be strictly adhered to, the Academic Board meetings have been reinstated, and the Internal Audit Unit has resumed full operations to monitor and control financial transactions.
Malam Jamilu further expressed his commitment to staff capacity building, stressing that management will engage all stakeholders to uplift the college.
He also called on staff, students, and management to support the new reforms and pledged continued alignment with government policies and programs aimed at strengthening the health sector in Zamfara State.
